Have you heard of the phrase "drown your sorrows"? In alcohol, of course - that could at least be somewhat nicer for you... perhaps there are other things like that, which could satisfy it?
But I'm not opposed to drowning my sorrows in a bit of wine. Anything's better than wallowing in despair for any longer than I have to. I've done enough of that in my life already.
